How do I connect to my 7 Days to Die server?

How to join your 7 Days to Die server with its address and port, and where to set a password to join.

You join your 7 Days to Die server with your server's address and port, or through the server list. You set a password to join in serverconfig.xml.

Find your address and port

  1. Log in to the game panel and open your server.
  2. Go to Network. It shows your server's address (Hostname) and Port. The same details are also on your service in the client portal.
  3. Make sure your server is running. If it's off, click Start in the Console.

Extra ports

Besides the main port, your server has the two ports right after it and an extra port for administration over telnet (TELNET_PORT). They are already set up; you don't need to do anything with them.

Join in 7 Days to Die

  1. Start 7 Days to Die and choose Join a Game.
  2. Choose Connect to IP, enter the address and port from Network and click Connect.

Your server is also in the game's server list. Search there for your server's name.

A password to join

  1. Stop your server.
  2. Open the serverconfig.xml file through Files.
  3. Find the line with ServerPassword and enter the password at value.
  4. Save the file and start your server.

Not the password under Startup

PASSWORD under Startup is the password for administration over telnet, not the password to join.

Not working?

Check in the Console that the server has fully started and that you use the port from Network. If it still doesn't work, open a ticket with your server's name and the message you see in the game.
