When does this privacy statement apply?

This statement applies to all personal data we process and to every domain related to us. It covers everyone who has been in touch with us or visited our website: visitors, customers and business contacts. Personal data is any data that can be traced back to you as an individual, such as your name, phone number, IP address, customer number or browsing behaviour.

Who uses your data?

PlanetNode B.V. is responsible for planetnode.net and therefore the controller for the use of your personal data. Our details: PlanetNode B.V., Vlotbrugweg 4A, 1332 AH Almere, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 98653202.

Whose data do we use?

We process the personal data of everyone who has contacted us or visited our website: visitors, private customers, business customers and contacts at our partners.

How do we obtain your data?

We receive it directly from you, as soon as you create an account, fill in a form on our website or contact us by e-mail, telephone or any other means.

Which data do we use?

Your name, your home or business address, your e-mail address and your telephone number.

What do we use your data for?

Only for a purpose we are allowed to use it for: because you gave us permission, because we cannot give you proper service as a customer without it, or because the law requires us to keep it, for instance for the Dutch tax authorities.

How long do we keep your data?

For as long as the law requires and for as long as it is needed for the purpose we use it for. While you are a customer, the statutory retention period of seven years applies. After that we only keep data for statistical purposes and to handle any complaints or legal matters.

Who do we share your data with?

Your personal data is used by us alone. We do not share it with others.

Where do we store your data?

We process and store your data within the European Economic Area (EEA).

How secure is your data with us?

We have secured our systems and communication channels both organisationally and technically, and we make sure your data is only used by people we have authorised. If you have a question about how we secure it, just ask.

What can you ask of us?

Because we use your personal data, you have a number of rights. You have the right to be informed about what we do with your data, the right to access the data we hold, and the right to have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete. You may object to processing, for example for direct marketing. You have the right to data portability, the right to restriction of processing and the right to be forgotten — except for data we are legally required to keep, such as the seven years for the tax authorities.

You may also file a complaint about the way we handle your data. Send your request or complaint to privacy@planetnode.net. We handle it within 30 days; if it is complex or concerns several requests, we will contact you within 60 days at the latest. We may ask you to identify yourself. If we cannot resolve it together, you can take your complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or to court.

Which rules apply to this statement?

This privacy statement has to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation and with the general rules that apply under Dutch law.

Which cookies do we use?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit. We use functional cookies, such as session and login cookies, and anonymised analytics cookies to see how many visitors we have and which pages are popular. You decide which categories you allow; you can change that on any page through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

What about data of minors?

We do not specifically target minors. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use our website. We assume you have obtained it.
