Why you cannot simply rent a unit here

Greenhouse Datacenters is a carrier-neutral facility in the Westland region and rents out full racks. That works well for parties filling a rack at once, but not if you need to house two or three servers.

We have racks there. That lets you take space per unit, with the same datacenter around it: PUE 1.2, adiabatic cooling, ISO 14001 and 27001, biometric access and engineers on site 24/7.

What is possible where

Not every option is available at every location. In Naaldwijk it is either single units or a full rack; half racks are available at our other three locations.

What comes with it

At many colocation providers you buy rack space and power, and arrange connectivity separately with a third party. With us the network is part of it.

  • Internet connectivity through AS211588, peering at AMS-IX, ERA-IX, Frys-IX, SPEED-IX and NL-ix
  • DDoS protection on all traffic, not a separate product
  • Redundant power (A+B), billed on actual usage
  • You may announce your own IP space from an IPv4 /24 or IPv6 /48
  • Traffic against a commitment agreed upfront, measured at the 95th percentile

About colocation in Naaldwijk, and what works differently with us than at the datacenter itself.

Greenhouse Datacenters rents out full racks. If you need less space, you take it through a party that already has racks there. With us that starts at a single unit.

No. In Naaldwijk we offer shared colocation per unit or a full rack. Half racks are available at our other locations: NorthC Kabelweg and Databarn in Amsterdam, and BIT in Ede.

With shared colocation you rent individual units in a rack shared with others, with supervised access. With a full rack the cabinet is yours, including 24/7 independent access and two access cards. If the datacenter charges administration costs for those cards, we pass them on one to one, without a markup.

You do not need a third party for it: your server connects through AS211588, peering at AMS-IX, ERA-IX, Frys-IX, SPEED-IX and NL-ix among others, and DDoS protection covers all traffic. Traffic itself is not free: you agree a commitment upfront and that is billed. How much you need is bespoke, so we look at it per situation. The configurator gives you an indication to start from.

Yes, from an IPv4 /24 or an IPv6 /48. If you do not have those yet, we can help through our LIR services.

At the 95th percentile, across a full month, against the commitment you agree upfront. Because the highest five percent of samples drop out, short peaks do not count and you pay for your normal usage rather than your busiest moments.

You can bring it yourself or ship it. We have a preparation guide covering what needs to be sorted before a server goes into the rack, such as labelling, remote management and rails.

Yes. We offer Layer 2 transport between our datacenters, so you can put equipment in Amsterdam, Ede and Naaldwijk in a single L2 segment.
