Order both at once or one after the other; the result is the same: a domain that points to your hosting.

    Choose your domain name

    Check whether the name is available and pick an extension. For a Dutch audience .nl is the obvious choice; for an international site .com or .eu makes more sense. You pay per year, and the renewal price is shown up front on the price list.

  2. 02

    Choose a web hosting plan

    Free to try things out, Small for one site with email, Medium when you need more room or several sites. All plans run on the same servers with DirectAdmin, free SSL and CloudLinux.

  3. 03

    Your domain points to your plan

    Register the domain with us and the nameservers are set right away: ns1.planetnode.cloud and ns0.xyphen-it.nl. Your site and email work as soon as you have set them up in DirectAdmin, without creating DNS records by hand.

Already have your domain with another provider?

Then connect it instead of transferring it. At your current registrar, set the nameservers to ns1.planetnode.cloud and ns0.xyphen-it.nl, or keep your DNS there and point only the A records to your plan. Transferring is possible too: then you manage domain and hosting in one client panel.

Honest about prices

Why we do not hand out a domain as a "gift"

Many hosting companies advertise a domain name that costs nothing in the first year, or web hosting for less than a euro a month. That rate is an introductory price: after the first year you pay the regular renewal price, often a multiple. By then the domain is yours and moving takes time, so you stay.

We do not do that. A domain name costs what the extension costs, and the registration and renewal prices sit next to each other on the price list. The web hosting plan has no introductory rate: what is on the card is what you pay, also after the first year. That sometimes makes us more expensive than a promotional price in year one, and usually not after that. So always compare the renewal price, not the introductory price. Ours is simply on the page.

Yes. A domain name is a separate product with us. You only pay the yearly price of the extension and can point it to hosting elsewhere, or leave it parked until you need it. Adding hosting is always possible later, without transferring the domain.

No. A domain name is always a separate product, even if you pay for the plan yearly. You see the price per extension on our price list. Register the domain with us and it points to your plan right away; that is the only part that happens automatically.

Yes. At your current registrar, set the nameservers to ns1.planetnode.cloud and ns0.xyphen-it.nl and manage the DNS in DirectAdmin. Prefer to keep your DNS with your current provider? Then point only the A records to your plan. The steps are in our knowledge base article on connecting a domain.

A new .nl or .be registration completes immediately, and because the nameservers are set right away your site works as soon as you have set it up in DirectAdmin. Transferring a .com, .net or .org can take up to five days under the ICANN transfer policy. If you connect a domain that stays elsewhere, the wait depends on the TTL of your current DNS records.

Yes. Every plan has mailboxes on your own domain, with Roundcube webmail and IMAP for your phone or mail client. How many mailboxes are included is listed per plan on the card.

Yes. Upgrading from Free to Small or from Small to Medium happens without a migration: your domain, files and email stay where they are. If you outgrow web hosting, we move your site to a VPS on the same network and repoint your domain.
