How do I upgrade my Hytale server?

How to move your Hytale server to a bigger package in the client area, and when that helps.

By Yvan Watchman Updated

You move your Hytale server to a bigger package on the Upgrade/downgrade page in the client area. Your world and settings stay in place.

When does a bigger package help?

  • Memory in the game panel console is often close to the maximum.
  • You want more players or more mods than your current package can handle.

If your main problem is lag, first read How do I optimise my Hytale server settings? A lower view distance often helps more than extra memory. How much memory suits your number of players is in our guide to Hytale server requirements.

Upgrade

  1. Log in to my.planetnode.net and open your Hytale service under Services and My Services.
  2. Click Upgrade/Downgrade, or under Actions on the left, Upgrade/Downgrade.
  3. Choose the package you want, choose the billing cycle and complete the order.

All the steps with a screenshot are in How do I upgrade or downgrade a service? You can see the prices on the Upgrade/Downgrade page itself and on our Hytale page.

Downgrade

Moving to a smaller package works through the same page. First check that your server fits in the smaller package, in memory and storage, and make a backup to be safe.

Check

Restart your server in the game panel after upgrading: the server only picks up the new memory when it starts. After that, the console shows the maximum of your new package at Memory.
