How do I let Bedrock players join my Java server?
How to let Bedrock players join your Java Minecraft server with Geyser: the Bedrock port is already set up, you install Geyser and restart.

With the Geyser plugin, players on Minecraft Bedrock Edition (phone, tablet, console and the Windows version from the Microsoft Store) can play on your Java server. Every Minecraft and proxy server with us already has its own Bedrock port for this, and your server already starts Geyser on that port. You install the plugin and restart.
What you need
- A server running Paper, Purpur or Spigot, or Fabric with the Geyser mod. On Velocity or BungeeCord, install Geyser on the proxy only.
- The latest version of Geyser. Since Bedrock 26.60, Bedrock players connect using a new method (NetherNet), and older versions of Geyser don't support it.
Install Geyser
- Download Geyser for Spigot/Paper (or for Fabric, Velocity or BungeeCord) from geysermc.org.
- Log in to the game panel and open your server.
- Go to Files, open the
pluginsfolder (themodsfolder on Fabric) and upload the file with Upload. - If you want Bedrock players without a Java account to join, upload Floodgate to the same folder too. If you put Floodgate on Velocity or BungeeCord, Floodgate must also be on every backend server, with the same
key.pemfile as on the proxy. See the Floodgate guide. - Restart your server.
You don't need to change anything in Geyser's config.yml. Your server passes the Bedrock port to Geyser when it starts. You can also see that port in the game panel under Startup, in the BEDROCK_PORT variable.
Already had Geyser?
Update Geyser to the latest version and restart your server. A port you set yourself earlier in the Geyser config or as an extra allocation for Geyser is no longer used: your server passes the Bedrock port to Geyser when it starts.
Let Bedrock players join
The address and port for Bedrock players are in the client portal:
- Log in to my.planetnode.net and open your Minecraft service.
- The Bedrock (Geyser) tab shows the address and the Bedrock port.
In Minecraft, Bedrock players choose Play, then the Servers tab and Add Server. They enter the address at Server Address and the Bedrock port at Port.
Subdomain is for Java only
A subdomain from the game panel or an SRV record only works for Java players. Bedrock doesn't use SRV records, so Bedrock players always enter the address and the Bedrock port.
First connection
On the first connection, Minecraft may ask whether you trust the server ("Trust on First Use"). Accept it; after that, the question doesn't come back.
Check
After startup, the console shows that Geyser has started. A Bedrock player sees the server in their list and can join.
Not working?
Type /geyser dump in the console and open a ticket with the link Geyser gives you. That shows us at once how Geyser is set up on your server.
