How do I create and manage email accounts?

PlanetNode webhosting uses DirectAdmin with CloudLinux. You can manage your email directly from the DirectAdmin control panel.

Creating an email account

1. Log in to DirectAdmin via the link in your welcome email, or go to my.planetnode.net, open your webhosting product, and click the login button
2. Go to E-Mail Management → E-Mail Accounts
3. Click Create Account
4. Enter the local part (before @), choose a password, and set the quota
5. Click Create

Forgot the password of an email account

As the owner of the hosting account, you set a new password for any email account in DirectAdmin. You don't need the old password for that.

1. Go to E-Mail Management → E-Mail Accounts
2. Choose the email account and change the password
3. Save, and enter the new password on all devices that use this account

Forwarders and autoresponders

• Forwarders: E-Mail Management → Forwarders. Redirect mail to another address
• Autoresponders: E-Mail Management → Autoresponders. Send automatic replies when you're away

Catch-all

A catch-all collects email sent to an address on your domain that doesn't exist, for example because of a typo in the address. The catch-all option is supported and you set it up under E-Mail Management.

Spam filters

• SpamAssassin: E-Mail Management → SpamAssassin. Adjust spam score thresholds and filters
• Configure what happens to spam (delete, move to folder, tag)
