How to upload and manage website files using the File Manager, permissions, and organization in DirectAdmin.

You can manage your website files with DirectAdmin's built-in File Manager or via SFTP.
Using the File Manager
- Log in to DirectAdmin via the link in your welcome email, or go to my.planetnode.net, open your webhosting product, and click the login button
- Go to Files → File Manager
- Navigate to
domains/yourdomain.com/public_htmlfor your main website - Use Upload to add files, or create folders and files directly
- Select files to Delete, Move, Copy, or Rename
File permissions
- Right-click a file or folder and choose Permissions
- Common settings: files
644, folders755, scripts755 - Avoid
777for security reasons
Organizing your content
- Keep your main site in
public_html - Use subfolders for images, CSS, JS, or additional pages
- Ensure
index.htmlorindex.phpexists inpublic_htmlfor your homepage
