How do I install WordPress with Installatron?

You install WordPress in DirectAdmin with Installatron Applications Installer. Choose WordPress, fill in your domain and your admin details, and click install.

Installing WordPress

1. Log in to DirectAdmin via the link in your welcome email, or go to my.planetnode.net, open your webhosting product and click the login button.
2. Open Installatron Applications Installer. If you don't see it right away, use the search field in DirectAdmin.
3. Choose WordPress and start the installation.
4. Choose the domain. Do you want WordPress in a folder, for example yourdomain.com/blog? Then fill in the folder. Leave the field empty for your main domain.
5. Fill in your admin details: username, password and email address.
6. Click Install.

Checking

Go to https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin and log in with the admin details you just entered.

Note: Installatron backups

Installatron can make automatic backups of your WordPress. These are separate from the backups in DirectAdmin, and they count towards your disk space. Over time they can take up a lot of space.

1. Open Installatron Applications Installer.
2. Look at your backups and delete old ones you no longer need.
3. In your installation's settings, reduce the number of automatic backups Installatron keeps.
