Crossplay

One world, every device

Geyser is a translator between the Bedrock protocol and your Java server. It runs as a plugin on Paper or Purpur, next to your other plugins. Floodgate means Bedrock players do not need a separate Java account.

  • Bedrock players join on Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Android and iOS
  • Java players notice nothing: it stays a regular Java server
  • Works on every Minecraft plan, including the smallest
  • All your Paper and Purpur plugins keep working
  • No Java account needed for Bedrock players thanks to Floodgate
  • We set up Geyser and Floodgate for you on request

Honest about what this is

This is a Java server that Bedrock players can join, not a Bedrock Dedicated Server. If you want a Bedrock-only world with Marketplace content or Bedrock add-ons, this is not the right choice.

How it works

Everyone joins in four steps

From ordering to the first Bedrock player in your world.

  1. Pick a plan

Geyser needs hardly any extra memory. Choose your plan by player count and version; if in doubt, the RAM guide works it out for you.

  2. Install Paper or Purpur

Both are ready in the panel for every Minecraft version. Geyser and Floodgate are plugins, so you need one of these two.

  3. Add Geyser and Floodgate

Upload the two jar files to your plugins folder yourself, or ask us in a ticket to set it up for you, including the extra UDP port Bedrock uses.

  4. Share the address

Java players use your regular address or free subdomain. Bedrock players enter the same address plus the Bedrock port number you get from us.

The same plans, with or without Bedrock

Geyser is not a separate product. Every Minecraft plan can run it; you only pay for the memory and compute of your server.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Bedrock and Geyser

Another question? Our support knows Geyser and will get you going.

No. You rent one server and your friends join for free, on whatever device. No separate Bedrock server is needed.

Not with Floodgate. That plugin lets Bedrock players log in with the Microsoft account they already use for Bedrock. Without Floodgate every player would also need a Java account.

Bedrock connects over UDP, on a different port than Java. Request that extra port in a support ticket; we open it and give you the number your Bedrock players enter.

Yes. Geyser is a plugin itself and changes nothing about the server. Some Java features look slightly different to a Bedrock player because Geyser translates them, but playing, building and chatting just work.

No. Mods exist only on the Java side and Bedrock clients cannot load them. For modpacks see our modded Minecraft hosting; plugins on Paper or Purpur do work with Geyser.

Yes. Open a ticket after ordering and we set up Geyser, Floodgate and the UDP port for you. Doing it yourself works too: it is two jar files in your plugins folder.
