How many access cards are included?

Colocation comes with datacenter access for the people who work on your equipment. What is included differs per location and per rack size.

Included access

Half rack

• 1 access card included
• In the name of one person you designate

Full rack

• 2 access cards included
• Useful when more than one person needs to enter the datacenter

BIT (Ede)

At BIT, unescorted access is not included. If you want to enter there without an escort, we arrange it at a monthly rate. Request it through a support ticket with the name of the person who needs access.

Extra access cards

If you need more cards than included:

1. Open a support ticket.
2. State how many extra cards you want and for whom.
3. You hear the cost before we request the cards.

Managing access cards

• Personal: a card is tied to one person and may not be lent out.
• Activation: cards are requested when your colocation is set up, or later through a ticket.
• Changes: if someone leaves your organisation, tell us and we block the card.
• Loss or theft: report it right away through a ticket and we block the card immediately.

Entering the datacenter

• Bring valid ID; the datacenter may ask for it.
• Visitors without their own card can usually come along escorted by a card holder, according to the datacenter's rules.
• If you want someone without a card to work on your equipment once, arrange it beforehand through a ticket.
